The SOAR & ROAR festival is Australia’s most inclusive motoring festival, celebrating the athletes of Special Olympics Australia and powered by the motorsport community at Australia’s home of high velocity entertainment - Sydney Motorsport Park.
In addition to the roar of bikes and cars, the festival offers a variety of fun, inclusive activities for people of all ages, including:
Watch performances from Justice Crew, Isaiah Firebrace, Amber Lawrence (Special Olympics Australia ambassador), Ukelele performing group and other local artists.
Car Clubs giving people with an intellectual disability a Dream Ride in luxury cars – Aston Martin, Corvette, Hot Rods, Lamborghini, Lotus, Morgan, Mustang. Find out more about the rides here.
Put a bid in to win a ride in a 2-seater Formula Ford with Anglo Racing Academy.
Bring the kids into the Petting Zoo and meet some live animals.
Join our mascot Wheeler Bear as he dances on track with a crowd of 300 dancers!
Have a ride on the Cup & Saucer, Autoracer, Swinging Chairs, Jumping Castle and climb on the tall Rock Wall.
Grab a bite to each at the food trucks and sample some of Sydney’s famous food trucks.
Come and see the variety of different cars on show at the Shannons Show n Shine.
Get your face painted, have some fairy floss or cool down with a Snow Cone.
Be part of the Opening Ceremony and cheer on the hundreds of luxury cars and bikes parade in the Lap of Honour, Law Enforcement Torch Relay, and Lighting the Cauldron.
Watch Special Olympics athletes demonstrate 4 sports: football, basketball, tennis & softball.
Win a chance to have a helicopter ride to get a bird’s eye view of Sydney Motorsport Park.
Be entertained by Rob and Tahir from Here Come the Habibs and meet some of the other cast.
Get some early Christmas shopping done at the market stalls from local makers.
Watch CEO’s and their Pit Crew build a Billy Cart and race the race down the Main Straight of the race track.
